People believe what they believe. We, as we understand ourselves to be, are all on our own path. My desire is never to argue with anyone, or accept their attempts to sway me to their position. Ours is to shed light (love).
To shed light is to be as we were created; to just be, and by being, to demonstrate that we are not egos. As much as I can, I want to write without referring too much to "me". In this way, I can move aside to let my Self look through the body's eyes, and see the world as it really is. After all, I do not know who or what I am. I do not know how I got here, or even if "here" exists. So how can I decide what is right? How can a being without knowledge see clearly? It seems obvious that I need a guide.
I bless my brother on his way, as part of me.
I no longer want to question or analyze everything. I want to awaken and recognize that I never left Home. But the physical universe seems so real. It distracts. It hides our true existence from us. The guide we need, we have. Go beneath belief if you feel led. If not, you probably are not reading this anyway. It matters not at all. We awoke long ago, in our terms. It is not God's Will, thus not ours, that we remain asleep. Our awakening happened in the same instant that our sleep seemed to happen. When we "wake up" in the morning, we do not really wake up. We just enter a different phase of the dream. It is over. That is why everything has an ending. Because everything is over and done. It never was. A Course In Miracles says, "God is not fear, but love."
It is so much easier when we let go (forgive/overlook) what never took place. Let the conviction of our deepest heart match the words we use when we pray, or repeat our affirmations. Let us not argue, for in that, we use our brother to imprison ourselves. The one we think we see, across the street, or in line at the store, that one is another version of us. It seems hard to keep remembering that, but we just need discipline.
"You are too confused to recognize your own hope." --ACIM.
It only seems hard to do. Everything in the world we see can hurt us, but nothing in God can hurt us. There is no hurt in God. Hurt is unreal, and nothing unreal exists. The thoughts we have of attack are attacking our invulnerability. In truth, we cannot be attacked, but we believe we are not in truth. We think we are separated selves, scrambling around a great rock in some cold dark space. We are so confused that we bury truth under the images of murder, terror, death. Truth is right here. We are looking right at it. Constantly. We cannot not see it.
But these words written here do not matter. It is when we go inside our deepest heart, and ask for help. Ask sincerely, with a true desire to know--then we realize truth was always with us. Until then, we just keep reading words that may or may not be true. "Why am I unaware of what is so?" --ACIM.
Is that not what we really want? Enough philosophizing. We desire to know. I have done this. I have proven to myself that these teachings are real.
There is one teaching, and all teachings teach it.
Everything we think we see is in our mind. But God is in our mind. God is real. Thus, what we think we see (which we are forming into shapes, projecting "outward") is unreal because God is in everything we see. When ego demands, "God is in a headache?" Recognize that "God is in everything I see" means the headache is unreal. There is not God plus a headache; not God plus a broken leg...there is God. There is that reality of which we are eternally a part. It is real. There really is what we call "God". It only sounds crazy because we have dreamed that we turned away from it, threw truth away. But that is not God's Will. Thus, it is not our will. We are part of God. God is love without opposite; joy without opposite; peace, without opposite. Let us come inside our deepest heart, and ask. Keep it in our mind. When the world we see distracts, remember to remember Who and What we really are.
